Unplugging and decluttering

June 27, 2017 — No comments

Sari likes to join me once in a while when I’m typing on the computer, which I’m doing a whole lot of lately.

She jumps up and settles on my lap, drops her head on my arm and I try to keep on working on the computer. It’s her way of doing what she needs to and it looks like she’s utterly contented that way.

I’ve taken my cue from Sari and decided to do what I need: take a respite from electronics, the tempo of the world in general, and even my family and cat. To shift my rhythm and re-focus, to reconnect with myself in a different way, and to gain a fresh perspective.

How is this possible, short of Crusoe’s island?

Well, I signed up for a ten day silent meditation retreat, and it starts tomorrow. Tonight, I’m busy getting this newsletter out to you and as of tomorrow, I’m signing off for ten days. I’ll let you know of my unplugging and decluttering experience in the next newsletter. Enjoy your summer and the Swiss Wanderlust articles, wherever you are!

Have you taken out time to do something like this? What was your experience? Your input is always appreciated – leave a comment below. Thank you.
